Braxton attended Catholic school her entire life, but she wasn’t necessarily looking to continue her education at a Catholic university. It wasn’t until she visited Ohio Dominican University that she experienced firsthand the welcoming quality of ODU’s community – she had found her college home. For Braxton, being four hours from home meant it was important to find a strong, nurturing and friendly community that will support her. Over the past few years, her professors, coaches, classmates and teammates have been the support system she was looking for. ODU is much more than a college to Braxton – it’s her home. During her time, she has contributed to the campus community in numerous ways, such as participating in events and activities, attending Mass, serving as a member of the President’s Society, and pursuing her passion for athletics as a member of the Softball team. Today, Braxton prepares for the next phase of her educational journey as she enrolls in dental school and works toward her dream of becoming a dentist so she can provide her patients with the quality care they deserve. Because of the generous support of donors, Braxton has been able to pursue a life-changing education, create memories and relationships that will last far beyond graduation, and experience profound personal transformation. Because of donors, her life has been changed forever. Just imagine the impact you could have on the lives of students, like Braxton, who want nothing more than to pursue their passion, fulfill their life’s purpose, and make the world a better place.
