Madison Norris

Student

Hi there, I’m Madison Norris. My journey to Ohio Dominican University was a bit unconventional. After graduating from Eastern Kentucky University, instead of stepping into the professional world, I made the decision to take advantage of my remaining athletic eligibility and pursue my love for football as a Panther while working toward another degree. I simply couldn’t pass up the opportunity to live in a big city like Columbus and pursue the sport I’ve loved since third grade.

Football has always been a significant part of my life. I’ve been fortunate to be part of three different college programs, starting at Indiana University, then Eastern Kentucky and now ODU. Each program has taught me something new, and being able to contribute to this fantastic team at ODU is a truly humbling experience.

One moment that stands out to me during my time at Ohio Dominican is when our head coach talks to us about leadership. In the middle of the day, after we’re done with classes, he’ll give us an uplifting speech about what it means to be a leader, a better football player, and ultimately, a better man. His words always leave me feeling inspired and motivated to do – and be – my best.

Looking forward, after my time at ODU, I hope to land a job in computer science. But for now, I’m just soaking in every moment on the field and in the classroom, cherishing these experiences and relationships that have helped to shape me into who I am today.
